    The Performance and Load Tester will work within the Partner Services Team of Dovel Technologies, a company that supports Federal Grants Management solutions to more than 18 Federal agencies through the Grants Center of Excellence (www.GrantSolutions.gov).


    The Performance and Load Tester will work as an integral part of a validation and verification team. This individual is expected to script use cases for automated performance and load testing using the HP LoadRunner product, run/monitor performance tests, as well as update technical documentation in accordance with the HHS requirements documents. The individual will support the Life Cycle process; update all relevant lifecycle technical support documents, applicable lifecycle modules of the Wiki and/or any other support documentation as required.
     
    The Performance Tester is responsible for defining the test strategy using input from operations, database administration, application development and business analysts. The candidate is expected to develop, execute and maintain LoadRunner automated tests and to mentor more junior members of the team to enable them to reach their full potential.
     
    Primary responsibilities will be to develop the test strategy, record and/or script the test to be performed against the application, run and monitor the load generator tests, and analyze and provide reports on scenario results. Duties include, but are not limited to: refining requirements for performance / load testing, coordinating test executions, developing presentation of findings, enlisting help of the appropriate individuals for the test cycle and providing guidance to more junior members.
     
    Specific knowledge and experience required:
    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited college or university, or other related scientific or technical discipline and demonstrated successful experience with increasing responsibilities in the performance testing discipline
    • 6 years of experience with automated testing tools, HP LoadRunner product expertise is a must
    • Demonstrated ability to lead automated testing effort, strong desire to mentor team members in area of expertise, and high degree of comfort working as an individual contributor and as part of a team
    • Strong SQL skills, Oracle experience, Java, NetBeans
    • Experience testing in Java Apps, Web Services
    • Experience using Jira, Quality Center / Zephyr and UFT is desired

    Specific knowledge and experience should include:

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    The Technical Lead will assess and analyze the requirements documentation, and translate them into a robust Oracle architecture and design that will be compliant with the Securities & Exchange Commission's (SEC) Oracle ULA, the planned enterprise SOA Bus, and the overall SEC enterprise environment.

    The Technical Lead will be responsible for leading the Developers in the design, development, testing, and implementation of the system.     The Training Lead will be heavily involved in training and supporting end users as a part of the rollout of Federal Enterprise Grants Management software at the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) and its partner agencies. The Training Lead will work as a member of the Washington, DC-based team that is deploying the software for use at ACF.  The Training Lead will work closely alongside ACF staff and support them in the use of these new systems.

    The Training Lead will manage and allocate training resources as required, assuming oversight of a team of 3+ trainers.  The Training Lead will be responsible for equipping end users with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully use the new software in support of the agency mission.

    Position Responsibilities:
    •Manage Washington, DC-based training team
    •Allocate training resources to effectively meet end-user needs
    •Assist in the development of a training curriculum
    •Conduct training to end users on Federal Enterprise Grants Management software, including web-based and classroom based training
    •Work as part of an integrated team, including team members based in Washington, DC

    Training
    This position requires knowledge of key Federal Enterprise Grants Management systems. The Employer will provide training on these systems in support of the job functions.

    Travel
    Position is based in Rockville, MD. Occasional customer visits in Washington, DC metro-area required. Will include some domestic travel, primarily to Atlanta, GA.

    The Performance and Load Tester will work as an integral part of a validation and verification team. This individual is expected to script use cases for automated performance and load testing using the HP LoadRunner product, run/monitor performance tests, as well as update technical documentation in accordance with the HHS requirements documents. The individual will support the Life Cycle process; update all relevant lifecycle technical support documents, applicable lifecycle modules of the Wiki and/or any other support documentation as required.
     
    The Performance Tester is responsible for defining the test strategy using input from operations, database administration, application development and business analysts. The candidate is expected to develop, execute and maintain LoadRunner automated tests and to mentor more junior members of the team to enable them to reach their full potential.
     
    Primary responsibilities will be to develop the test strategy, record and/or script the test to be performed against the application, run and monitor the load generator tests, and analyze and provide reports on scenario results. Duties include, but are not limited to: refining requirements for performance / load testing, coordinating test executions, developing presentation of findings, enlisting help of the appropriate individuals for the test cycle and providing guidance to more junior members.
     
    Specific knowledge and experience required:
    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited college or university, or other related scientific or technical discipline and demonstrated successful experience with increasing responsibilities in the performance testing discipline
    • 9+ years of experience with automated testing tools, HP LoadRunner product expertise is a must
    • Demonstrated ability to lead automated testing effort, strong desire to mentor team members in area of expertise, and high degree of comfort working as an individual contributor and as part of a team
    • Strong SQL skills, Oracle experience, Java, NetBeans
    • Experience testing in Java Apps, Web Services
    • Experience using Jira, Quality Center / Zephyr and UFT is desired
