ZapThink notes that “the players in this space today include Cloud brokering as an extension of their existing business model, rather than a pure play model in its own right.” To me, this is very natural behaviour because nobody really thinks about brokering but about delegation of tasks and allocation of resources using own and external computational power without particular predictable management. I would not call these activities ‘brokering’. This is exactly what makes Clouds cloudy. Moreover, every participant of Cloud of Clouds is free to cascade delegation of tasks as ‘far’ as needed with no control whatsoever (including the sides of your competitor or enimy).
