Sharing Services involves a lot more than simply exposing Service interfaces and composing them together in hopes that they integrate well together. In reality, there are a lot of things to consider when trying to compose Services in a heterogeneous environment. Beyond the obvious issues around differences in API, protocol, and underlying infrastructure, the biggest isuses remain in trying to resolve the discrepancies in the way that data and metadata are represented.

This presentation, presented on the SOA and Ontologies Confernce Call of August 10, 2006 aims to highlight some of the key issues to consider in an SOA with regards to Semantic incongruity.
