The Basic Profile guidelines are intended for vendors, large corporations and industry consortia developing software and tools that can be used to write Web services, said Jason Bloomberg, an analyst at ZapThink LLC. “A lot of the grey areas with the basic Web services standards are now resolved, and we can move on to the more challenging areas: security, management, reliability and transactions,” Bloomberg said.
